Homelessness Prevention Paralegal – Fixed Term Contract to 31.3.26
- Starting salary – £24,027
- Salary scale – SCP 3 -11 (£24,027 to £27,269)
- Contract – full time, 35 hours

Job role
This role is ideal for someone who is looking to start their career in Law. Whilst a law degree would be advantageous, it is not an essential requirement as successful applicants will be supported to develop their skills, knowledge and experience. This position does not meet Qualifying Work experience for the SQE.
The successful applicant(s) will provide support and assistance to individuals and families who are at risk of homelessness. The role will involve interviewing clients and obtaining information from them, assisting them to complete forms and any other work that maybe required to prevent them from becoming homeless.
The successful applicant(s) must continue to foster close working relationship with current partners, whilst identifying and building new relationships with potential referrers.
There is expectation that you will support our solicitors in Court. On completion of training, and under close supervision, there is the opportunity to provide one off legal advice via the telephone.
All aspects of the role require the recording and maintaining of accurate information onto the Data Management System. You will be expected to undertake you own administration.
