Homeless Prevention programme
Who are our Homeless Prevention workers?
We have two Homeless Prevention Support workers who work with individuals who need 1-2-1 support to learn how to keep and manage their tenancies better. They are:
Kev Weston
Maddison Aspinall
Who is this for?
This service is for tenants who are at risk from being evicted or is homeless living in one of the following areas. This service is free as it is funded by: Amber Valley Borough Council, Bolsover District Council, Chesterfield Borough Council, Derbyshire Dales District Council, and North East Derbyshire District Council.
What Support a Homeless Prevention Support Worker Will Provide?
Each eligible tenant will be case managed throughout by a dedicated 1-2-1 support worker. In agreement with the tenant, the support worker will establish a bespoke package of tailored support which is responsive to their needs including the use of discretionary/expenses funds to cover essential items such as white goods, rent and household arrears.
In partnership with Homeless Prevention Programme, each eligible tenant has access to 1-2-1 support in arranging for their:
- Rent to be paid and up to date,
- Money to be sorted,
- Incomes to be maximised,
- Debts to be scheduled into a payment plan to pay their debts and arrears off
- Debts to be managed or written off.
