New Community Drop-in Sessions
Over the next 6 months we will be running new community drop-in sessions to help people access legal advice more quickly. These sessions will be across Chesterfield at Gussie’s Kitchen @ St Augustine’s Church, The Haven at Barrow Hill and at Loundsley Green Community Centre.
You don’t need to make an appointment – just turn up to talk through your legal issue.
Where will the sessions be?
The drop-in sessions will be:
Gussie’s Kitchen, St Augustine’s Church – every other Wednesday from 9.30am – 11.30am
The Haven at Barrow Hill – 1st Tuesday of every month from 2pm – 4pm
Dates: 4th June, 2nd July, 6th August, 3rd September, 1st October, 5th November
Loundsley Green Community Centre – 1st Tuesday of every month from 10am-12noon
Dates: 4th June, 2nd July, 6th August, 3rd September, 1st October, 5th November
What can you get advice on?
Each session will be attended by two members of the Derbyshire Law Centre who can go through your issue and then refer it to a specialist in our team. You won’t get immediate advice on the day but you will receive a call back from our team in the following few days.
We can help with:
- Housing issues including eviction, disrepair and arrears
- Debt including IVAs, DROs, energy bills and managing budgets
- Immigration
- Discrimination in Goods and Services and Employment
- Employment issues
If you can’t come to a session please call our team anyway on 01246 550674 or freephone 0800 707 6990 or email us on DLC@DerbyshireLawCentre.org.uk
We would like to give a big thank you the Chesterfield Borough Council for supporting this project through the Community Grants funding and the Financial Inclusion Group Network.
